About Us

Truman Club Soccer was founded in 2007 to give men at Truman State University an opportunity to play competitive soccer without the time commitment required by varsity sports. We play our league season in the fall, and play friendlies and tournaments in the spring. We hold tryouts in the fall, but if you are interested in playing, we have open practices in both the fall and the spring. Check posts below for updates. Any questions can be directed to our president, Curt Ooton, at ceo8213@truman.edu.

Truman to Play at Regional Tournament

Kirksville - The Truman Men's Club Soccer team received acceptance into the Region IV Tournament that will take place in Columbia, Missouri the weekend of October 28th.

After earning a 3-3 conference record and an overall 4-3 record, Truman solidified their place into this years Regional Tournament. Truman has not played at the regional tournament in three years, despite being invited as a wild card pick last year and Mike Manougian, co-captain of the squad, says that this tournament will be the standard for upcoming years.

"I've said it all year long and I will say it again, our team can play with any team in the country and we will prove it at regionals," says Manougian.

Truman will start their preparation for the tournament by facing off against Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville and the University of Kansas this weekend. They also look to add in an exhibition game against Truman's Varsity squad next week.
